What is Dolphin Anty? An anti-detect browser that stores browser profiles with separate fingerprints, cookies and proxies, with proxies in their own section so one proxy can serve several profiles.
What formats does it accept? Three, verbatim: host:port, host:port:login:password, and login:password@host:port, plus an optional protocol prefix, a :name label, and an IP change link in square brackets.
Why do two of the formats look like each other inverted? Because they are. Both are accepted, which is convenient until you paste one where you meant the other, and that is the root of the most common validation error.
What does ValidationError: 'port' length must be less than or equal to 5 characters long actually mean? That the parser read the wrong segment as the port. The bound is five characters because a port stops at 65535, and the API bounds the field at 0 to 65535, so a password or username landed in the port position and the credential order is what needs fixing.
Is there an untranslated variant of that error? Yes, validationNew.app_rules_proxy_rule. Same cause, same fix.
Why does it say failed to establish a proxy connection? Three documented causes: your ISP cannot reach the proxy server, the proxy server is unresponsive, or Dolphin's own checker cannot verify it. Their test: change network by tethering from a phone, or run a VPN before opening Dolphin, which separates a routing problem from a dead proxy.
Does it support IP-authenticated proxies? Yes, though Dolphin never uses the term. The OpenAPI specification marks both credential fields optional, and host:port with no credentials is an accepted format, so an allowlisted proxy works by omitting the login and password.
How many proxies fit on the free plan? Fifty, with five profiles. Exceeding the cap produces the error that you have reached the proxy limit of your current plan. Starter at ten dollars lifts the proxy cap to unlimited.
What about automation? Dolphin runs a local HTTP API on port 3001 and returns a separate, per-launch CDP port, so the automation port is read from the start response rather than assumed.

Dolphin pulls geolocation data from the proxy using its own checker and shows it beside the line, so the exit country is confirmed before the profile is used.
Why did working proxies stop working? The provider disabled them or the ISP is blocking, and Dolphin notes this is quite common for users in Russia.
What are the free plan's other limits? Three profiles running at once, and up to 200 profile recreations a month.
Does bulk paste exist? No documented bulk paste of a plain proxy list. The documented multi-proxy paths are the XLSX profile import, Smart Data Import, and a paid bulk Change Proxy panel, with no published delimiter for the proxy screen.
Why does the Quick Start page show a different shape? It states the string as protocol://ip:port:login:pass with a worked example whose host is 131.11.43.11 on port 13143 with name and password segments, which is the same grammar described in a different order. The reference page and the quick start disagree cosmetically, not structurally.
